Hey adventurers,
a quick, honest note about raid gold.
What changed
Since an update earlier today, opening a raid with one key paid out the raid's entire gold pool, and a solo player kept all of it. That was never the intended rule. Raids are balanced for a party of 5, and the gold pools were sized so each raider gets a fifth.
From now on, raid gold is split by your party size, but never by fewer than 5. Parties of 5 or more are paid exactly as before. Solo players and smaller groups get one raider's share (a fifth of the pool) instead of the whole pool.
Gold per player (party of 5 is unchanged)
| Raid boss | Solo before → now | Party of 5 |
| King Gloop | 40,000 → 8,000 | 8,000 |
| Captain Bones | 200,000 → 40,000 | 40,000 |
| Queen Vespa | 400,000 → 80,000 | 80,000 |
| Forgotten Titan | 600,000 → 120,000 | 120,000 |
| Great Mimic | 690,000 → 138,000 | 138,000 |
| Sun Pharaoh | 750,000 → 150,000 | 150,000 |
| Blightwood | 1,100,000 → 220,000 | 220,000 |
| Nine-Tailed Fox | 1,200,000 → 240,000 | 240,000 |
| Puppet King | 1,300,000 → 260,000 | 260,000 |
| Winter Empress | 1,500,000 → 300,000 | 300,000 |
| Hollow King | 2,200,000 → 440,000 | 440,000 |
| Drowned Saint | 2,500,000 → 500,000 | 500,000 |
| Wyrmfire Citadel | 2,700,000 → 540,000 | 540,000 |
Bonuses like Golden Day, Treasure Sense and World Boss still show on their own lines, on top of the base amount.
Why
We want gold to stay meaningful, so that what you earn from grinding, bosses and trading keeps its value. One source paying many times more than everything else would push prices up and hurt the whole economy, including players who never raid.
